The square puzzle pieces pictured are made of wood. Termites could eat them, but they would have a hard time creating them. We humans can’t eat them, but we can create them. The idea behind Edible Puzzle Parties (TM) is to make the puzzle pieces, solve a puzzle with them, and eat them.
The idea for colored square dominoes is at least 100 years old, having been described in books by Percy Alexander MacMahon in 1921 and by Martin Gardner in 1969.
Here at Edible Puzzle Parties (TM) we offer the service of conducting Edible Puzzle Parties for 4 to 24 people at your location. The participants should be at least 8 years old, with most over 10, because some simple mathematical ability and manual dexterity are required.
Together we will create a set of 24 square domino pieces, all different, from edible materials. Then, together, we will assemble the pieces into a completed rectangular puzzle, after which we will photograph the puzzle, and then you can eat it.
Several variations of the party are possible. There are two basic versions:
As our Producer for the party and with our guidance, you will be asked to provide a large table, some or all of the necessary kitchen utensils and equipment,, and some or all of the necessary food ingredients.
Our people will provide instruction, direction, and help in planning the party and guiding the participants to create the puzzle pieces and assemble the puzzle. We can provide sanitary equipment for food preparation, including gloves, masks, and head coverings.
Fees and other terms of this offer are subject to negotiation.
